DPRD Stresses Accurate Decile Data for Targeted Aid

Inaccurate decile data could cause eligible residents to miss out on government assistance, while those who are not eligible could be listed as recipients.

Data collection must be carried out properly and accurately

Jakarta Council (DPRD) Chair Suhud Alynudin stressed the importance of accurate and up-to-date data to ensure government assistance reaches the right recipients.

BPS Calls on Entrepreneurs to Support 2026 Economic Census

According to him, decile data collection must be carried out carefully to ensure the resulting data reflects actual conditions in the community. The data serves as the basis for determining recipients of various government programs.

"We must make sure assistance reaches those who are eligible and does not go to those who do not qualify. Data collection must be carried out properly and accurately," Suhud said on Monday (9/7).

Suhud hopes that updating the decile data will help address data collection issues that have long concerned the public. With more accurate data, assistance is expected to reach residents in need based on their actual circumstances.

"We hope this data collection is carried out properly and accurately so there are no more data errors that have long been a concern in the community," he said.

Suhud explained that the decile data update is carried out by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), meaning the process is beyond the direct control of the Jakarta Provincial Government.

"We can only hope that this data update truly reflects the reality on the ground," he noted.
